Advanced Level Reformer Pilates

This one-hour class is a great addition to your Pilates practice, utilizing the reformer to challenge your body in new ways.

Ballet Barre

Intensity Level: All levels
Get in touch with your inner ballet dancer in this one-hour class that will highlight the Pilates principles of alignment, balance, breath, and flow combined with classical ballet techniques for a challenging workout that is perfect for all levels. Please note, this is a traditional Ballet style class, not a TM Barre class.
Ages 3-5: Exploring the joy of movement and form by using music and imagination to create an inspiring environment.
Ages 6-9: Students are introduced to Classical Barre technique using terminology, etiquette, and proper body placement.
Ages 10-14: Students learn Classical Ballet Barre technique with terminology, etiquette, and proper body placement, as well as musicality. No prior experience necessary.
Adult: A Classical Ballet Barre class emphasizing proper muscular recruitment patterns in learning ballet technique. This class is designed to work with the client’s specific needs and movement abilities. No previous dance experience necessary.

EveryBODY Yoga

Intensity Level: All levels
In EveryBODY Yoga, we take standard yoga poses and adjust, modify, and adapt them so that larger, overweight, or injured people are able to successfully practice. By using supportive yoga props (bolsters, pillows, blocks, belts, yoga ropes, and physioballs), we allow people to gradually improve their alignment, tone, balance, and flexibility. We help people find where their body parts are: hips, pelvic bone, coccyx, ribs, shoulders, feet, and, most importantly, lungs and breath. We help you become aware of how you hold your weight, and how this affects your posture and comfort. By modifying poses and using supports, EveryBODY Yoga allows the larger person to experience the post without strain or difficulty. Once they are able to achieve the poses using these yoga props, we ease them from dependence on supports, eventually bringing them to a place where they can fully experience the flow, moving easily through the poses, some of which have been modified to accommodate the individual’s body shape and ability. People with body challenges can benefit from improvements in body posture, flexibility, cardiovascular and respiratory efficiency, joint range of motion, balance, and improved weight bearing. EveryBODY Yoga will benefit you in all these ways and give you the peace of mind that you are truly caring for your body. Classes last 55 minutes and are limited to 4 students per class.

Foam Roller Release

Intensity Level: All levels
In this 30-minute stretch and release mat class, we will focus on the knots, kinks, and excess tension that create imbalance in the fascia and muscles, and use the foam roller to release the built up tension. Our Pinky Ball Release class focuses on trigger points, while this Foam Roller Release class reaches broader areas of the body at a time. Both tools bring blood flow, help to soften tissue, and can decrease pain and risk of injury.

Gentle Yoga

Intensity Level: All levels
Gentle Yoga is appropriate for those who want a soft, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported, and relaxing practice. This class includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures are approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition. Gentle Yoga encourages a highly individualized approach to practice with on-going encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments. Classes last 55 minutes.

Mat Pilates

Intensity Level: All levels
Focus on precision, centering, breathing, core strength, flexibility, and flow in this class. Pilates is a system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. The blend of strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress, and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up. Pilates takes a balanced approach so that no muscle group is overworked and the body moves as an efficient, holistic system in sport and daily activity. Classes last 55 minutes.

PiYo Power Core

PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. Plus, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined. PiYo isn’t like standard Pilates and yoga classes that make you hold long, intense poses, or lead you through dozens of repetitive, microscopic core movements. PiYo speeds everything up – including your results – by introducing you to dynamic, flowing sequences that can burn serious calories while also lengthening your muscles and increasing your flexibility. With every action-packed PiYo session, you can burn excess fat and sculpt and define your whole body, as you minimize the aches and pains that can come along with high-impact workouts. Prenatal Mat Pilates

Classes are available upon request

Designed to help expecting moms feel their best throughout their entire pregnancy (and for new moms, too!), this one-hour class uses modified Pilates mat exercises to take you through a safe and enjoyable movement experience.

Restorative Yoga

Intensity Level: All levels
Restorative Yoga is a way of practicing postures that support the body to create deep relaxation and rejuvenation. By using blankets, bolsters, and other yoga props, the body is positioned in ways that support and sometimes gently stretch tight muscles. Classes last 55 minutes.

Vinyasa Flow

Intensity Level: All levels
Vinyasa Flow is characterized by movement synchronizing to the breath. This style is done in a smooth way, where the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or exhale. Classes last 55 minutes.

Well Hatha Yoga

Intensity Level: All levels
Well Hatha Yoga uses postures and breathing in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, this class brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being. Students can expect to develop body awareness and explore varied postures in a mixed-level environment. Classes last 55 minutes and are limited to 4 students per class.

Class sizes are limited to 12 students per class and signup is required for each class.
